On November 8, 2020, at 19-40 CET (Central European Time), we, in our social networks accounts, published a post under the following title: “Наступает новая эра демократии, эра Байдена и Харрис” (A new era of democracy is coming, the era of Biden and Harris).

In the publication, we pointed out that Joe Biden had been elected as the 46th President of the USA.

Even though the entire civilised world has clearly recognized the results of the election and managed to congratulate the 46th President of the USA on the victory, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyaev took a wait-and-see position and has not expressed his stance on the results of the American elections as yet.

This is quite understandable, indeed: a vassal always acts strictly on the orders of his suzerain. And the suzerain – namely, the Kremlin represented by Putin – has not yet recognized Joe Biden as the winner.

Mirziyaev’s silence is a clear proof that all foreign policy in Uzbekistan is conducted under the Kremlin’s careful and strict control.

Given the fact that Tashkent has not officially voiced its position regarding the results of the Presidential election in the United States, I, on behalf of the political opposition movement “Erkin O’zbekiston” (Free Uzbekistan), would like to congratulate Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi on the success and their victory in the presidential election!
